A little about us

We first opened Jenko's Mongolian Barbecue in Shrewsbury in 2000 where our presentation of this exciting and unusual eating concept proved very popular

The lease expired on this premises, so, due to a lack of success in trying to find other suitable premises in Shrewsbury we looked elsewhere. We left the county town in 2004 and moved to The Compasses Inn at Ketley in Telford.

Three years later, having designed, imported and built our new restaurant area, we re-opened Jenko's in our beautiful log cabin at the back of The Compasses Inn.

We work hard to provide you with excellent staff and we are extremely proud of their talents.

Mark's daughter Jade and Norma's son Robbie are both griddle chefs.

Our atmosphere is very friendly. We have access for the disabled and have a candle lit decked patio where customers can smoke.

We recently had a visit from Kirsty Martston a respected Shropshire Star food critic, we had no idea whom she was, she was treated as a regular customer.

We are proud to say we were given a glowing review and a five star rating which has left us very humbled.

Mark Jenkins.
