Telford
We first opened Jenko's Mongolian Barbecue in Shrewsbury in 2000 where its popularity left myself and my partner, Norma, over-whelmed.
Due to a lack of success in trying to buy suitable premises in Shrewsbury we looked elsewhere to take the "exiting and unusual eating concept" and left the county town in 2004.
Three years later we opened Jenko's in the purpose built log cabin at The Compasses Inn, Ketley, Telford.
We are extremely proud of the unique building and the talents of our staff.
Norma's son Robbie is in charge of the griddle.
Our atmosphere is very friendly. We have access for the disabled and have a candle lit decked patio where customers can smoke.
We recently had a visit from Kirsty Martston a respected Shropshire Star food critic, we had no idea whom she was, she was treated as a regular customer.
We are proud to say we were given a glowing review and a five star rating which has left us very humbled.
Mark Jenkins.
