I'm so lucky my hubby found this place. Unfortunately, I can't stop going and my WeightWatchers leader isn't very happy about that!! When (not if) you go, go with an empty stomach because you HAVE to have starter and the Puds are unmissable. Enjoy - I do and have every single time! (They even made fresh Rhubarb crumble for my hubby as they'd run out - nothing is too much trouble and I can't wait for my special request of Apple Crumble...) Maria & Dave Colley.;

The thing I like the most is the feeling of continuity when we see the same waiting staff time after time. Inspires confidence that does :) Just keep it just as it is, and we are happy campers. No need to comment on the food, it's never been anything less than spectacular. Best Wishes, DH.;

You have to try this place!
The food was fantastic all fresh and cooked to perfection.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the Inn has recently been refurbished and looks amazing,
A friendly relaxed atmosphere.
I can honestly say you wont find another place like this.
WELL DONE!Liz P Newport, Shrops

As a faithful follower of the Mongolian Steamboat method of cooking my nose twitched when I heard that Jenko's Mongolian Barbecue had set up, in all unlikely places, at Ketley... more...

Dear Landlord, May i congratulate you on the success and profession in this business. Your restaurant was exceptional.
My partner and I eat out alot and i can truly say this was one of the most enjoyable restaurants i have been to.
Your food was spectacular, your staff were dedicated and polite. And i must mention the young lady who cooked the meal - Jade if i remember correctly - Was so professinal, polite and truly is a credit to you.
I've never met a member of staff so happy to help and enjoy talking to customers.
We really enjoyed our time and meal at The Compasses Inn.
See you again soon.

We came after a few very good recommendations and thought we would try something different. It was amazing and the choice was superb. A nice personal touch was the hostess coming around the table to check how the meal was and to give her advice on the superb homemade desserts!! Will definately recommend to all friends and family! The only minor let down I found was for such a nice restaurant a few customers were not dressed for the occasion.

Anyway back to my birthday! In the evening we had booked for a meal at Jenko's which is a Mongolian restaurant where you can eat as much as you want for a set price. We had a very good meal here and I would recommend it to anyone.

Almost two months ago, after a returning home from Norfolk to Flintshire we got stuck in a three-mile (V-Fest) queue on the M54 for nearly three hours.
Ten to nine on a Sunday evening and hungry, we checked on our 2006 CAMRA Good Beer Guide to see if there was anywhere to eat (and drink).
Confirming that service was still on, we headed to what turned out to be the highlight of our day, glad that the three hour delay had brought us to this oasis of excellent beers and cuisine of a format which we were not anticipating.
As regular diners, we set high standards and have grown to expect the occasional disappointment; but after two months we're still raving about this venue: excellent food at sensible prices, great service and spot-on quality cask ales, (yes, I did try all three- Elaine kindly finished the car journey). We'll be back, for sure!Robert and Elaine Jackson
